A Loose Collective of Secret Agents Assigned to Watch the Euro-American Elite by Posing as Workers
The Colony is a secret but loosely organized collective of agents from colonized countries who have take up work in the houses of Euro-American elites. Their goal is to protect the elite from themselves, ensuring that items collected because they’re pretty don’t accidentally cause the end of the world.
Hanna’s parents were Colonists, assigned to watch Branford Masters, who used his merchant and whaling business to hide his secondary business in trading black market artifacts from the South Pacific and Africa. This assignment led to their death, and Hanna wants nothing to do with the organization.
Which becomes a problem when they blame her for letting Dotson Winters gain the List.
While The Colony and Gunfighter Gothic would find themselves on the same side of most issues, the loose organization of the group means Hanna and Jill can never be quite sure whether Colonists will treat them as friend or foe.
